CONCEPTS
| Here I wanted to experiment with a simple design. It resembles a noodle. |

These three were my first few designs. I explored the "twist", "bend", and "taper" tool thoroughly. I feel as though I have had a breakthrough with these in regards to my comfortability with Rhino8. Now I feel like I can be more explorative.

Trying to Make Them Work
Here I revamped some of my models following the class critique. I wanted to round out some of the edges since I was worried that the more "square" edges wouldn't turn out.
I think the tooth model is just so silly. Here I had to do some research and learned about the "fillet tool". I think it will be super handy for upcoming assignments.
I am extremely worried that this one wont turn out nicely during the printing. But hopefully things will be smoother with the more rounder edges. My thought was that the filament would stack nicer.Below, I experimented further with my chess inspired object. I really liked the updated design however there were still some structural issues with some of the steeper edges.
Here is my final attempt at fixing this model. You cant see it well in the image from prusaslicer, however there are still some structural issues and I really hope to make a successful print so I scratched this concept entirely.
After working on this for another whole day (with many different failed pieces), I am deciding to print this more simpler design. I feel like this one is much more likely to print and although it is simplified, it still proves that I am capable of using the tools we learned in class.
I spent a lot of time picking out a concept that I both liked, and could actually pull off. I learned so many new tools such as fillet edge, dupedge, planarsrf, and patch. I am excited to play around with the 3d printing interface, and I would like to challenge myself to create some more exciting personal projects of my own in the future.
