Laser-Cut Paper Vessel
Concepts!
After discussing any possible ideas, I mentioned the possibility of doing something involving candy. I thought it would be a great idea since it is cheap, and an item that we can share amongst ourselves without worrying about it becoming damaged or lost. Everyone seemed to agree with this idea, and to narrow our concepts I searched for a random candy item that I thought could be an interesting item for a vessel. Sour-patch kids seemed like a fun idea!
Here are the concepts generated from my group members. These are fantastic ideas and I would totally comply to doing any of these. I really like the concept of the house. I think you could generate a really cool story with it. Additionally, the pill would be super cool, I think that the idea behind the piece would do great, as well as the teeth. What would potentially be interesting for the teeth could be just one giant tooth with some cavities, or just cavities added to the current design.
Here is a mind map I generated about candy.
Here are some of the concepts I generated. Out of all the ones I created I think it would be funny to pursue the "creeps van". The doors to the back could swing open so that the candy can be placed inside. Furthermore, I think the shape of the van would be quite interesting to look at.
We decided to pursue Jannah's haunted house concept. Here are some more renditions of their idea. I think this will be a silly idea, I appreciate all of the little decorations. I am not too sure how we expect to fit the bag of candies within the door, but I guess we will figure something out.
TABS!
My task for this assignment was to "unfold" the model and apply tabs. I found this process quite fun actually. It was somewhat relaxing.

Here is the final concept brought to life! I was unfortunately not present in class that day to help them put it all together, however! they did a wonderful job and I really like the colours they selected for this piece!
